Verse in the Torah

| ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Ata’ (RA) said, “This ayat which is in the Qur’an, ‘O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bringer of good news and a warner’ (33:45) is found in the Torah in a similar form.” (Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 247, Book 12, Hadith 10) The coming of the Prophet (SAW) is alluded to in previous scriptures, just as the Qur’an helps make sense of the books sent to other prophets. Alhamdulillah for the guidance, the clarity it provides and the blessing of being able to read, study and have the Qur’an in our homes and hearts. |
