Pilgrims Warned Against Sleeping in Masjid al Haram

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has instructed Umrah pilgrims not to sleep in the Masjid al-Haram (Grand Mosque) to avoid congestion as other Muslims are coming to perform Umrah.

The ministry also stated that it is against the law to sleep in the Grand Mosque. Ministry said in the post on X (formerly known as Twitter) that by sleeping in the prayer places, trunks of emergency cars, or at the places of the physically disabled, you’re creating hindrance for the other pilgrims.

The ministry had also given instructions to the pilgrims not to create any kind of chaos just to perform rituals and give priority to women and children.

The ministry also asked the pilgrims to abide by the rules and cooperate with the Haram security forces.

Saudi Arabia is currently experiencing an influx of 100 million pilgrims from around the world.

Recently, the Saudi authorities have extended the Umrah visa from 30 days to 90 days.
