Late Osibona and the collapsed 21-storey building in Ikoyi

There seems to be trouble between the wife and family members of the late CEO of Fourscore Homes Limited Femi Osibona

The trouble erupted after both parties started claiming ownership of different assets belonging to Osibona who died under the rubble of the collapsed 21-storey building in Ikoyi

Osibona’s wife was said to have been denied access into his Ikoyi residence by his other relations causing a fight among them

As more recoveries are being made from the debris of the 21-storey building that collapsed on Gerrard Road in the Ikoyi area of Lagos state, there seems to be a brewing crisis among family members of the property owner whose body was recovered from the rubble.

Punch reports that Femi Osibona’s wife and other members of his family are allegedly fighting over the rightful ownership of his property including cash, luxury cars and others.

The report said that Osibona’s wife upon hearing about the incident and the subsequent death of her husband flew in from the United States of America as fast as she could.

Wife of deceased denied access into husband’s property by relatives However, Osibona’s wife was said that have been denied access into the late developer’s Ikoyi residence by the deceased siblings.

Sources said both parties had arrived at the deceased residence with mobile police officers to claim Osibona’s assets – property, cash, luxury vehicles and other valuable items.

However, neighbours in the vicinity shut them up to avoid being caught up in the crisis. The source said although the deceased did not die without a will, his family members were still out struggling over his assets.

The source said: “There is big fighting going on. The wife had been mostly abroad.”

“There is a will but once a man dies, there is a problem. Instead of them (the family) focusing on the collapsed building, they are looking at the property (on Mosley Road).

They are waiting to gain access (to the apartment); they are still there.” How the founder of Fourscore Home Limited died

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Osibona, who is the chief executive officer of Fourscore Home Limited was among the many individuals trapped in the rubble of the collapsed 21-storey building.

Osibona’s body was later recovered from the rubble as he was confirmed dead by officials on the site of the incident. His body was recovered alongside that of others who also died under the debris of the ill-fated 21-storey building in Ikoyi on Thursday, November 4.

Also, a 25-year-old corps member, Zainab Sanni, was said to have been trapped under the rubble of the building which collapsed on Monday, November 1.

Sanni who was among the victim of the building collapse was said to have returned to the property shortly after she went on a break to have her lunch.
