Pilgrims Cannot Perform Hajj on Umrah Visa

A separate visa is required for Muslim pilgrims performing Hajj compared to those performing Umrah. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah released this statement.
Umrah visa holders will not be permitted to perform Hajj, according to the statement. If they wish to perform the pilgrimage, they must leave Saudi Arabia and apply for a Hajj visa.
As per the statement, Umrah visa holders have until 15th dhu al-Qida 1444H (4 June 2023) to arrive. In 2023, Umrah pilgrims will be able to depart after 29 Dhu al-Qidah 1444H (18 June 2023).
Saudi Arabia faces many logistical challenges during the Hajj pilgrimage. In recent years, the Kingdom has made significant investments in infrastructure and security to ensure the pilgrimage runs smoothly.
In addition, the Kingdom has taken steps to make the Hajj pilgrimage more accessible to pilgrims from around the world. The Kingdom implemented a new visa system, allowing pilgrims from 49 different countries to apply for visas online.
