2 Nigerian Pastors And A Priest Who Reverted To Islam
Idris Tawfiq: British writer, public speaker and consultant. Before he accepted Islam, he was a Roman Catholic Priest. He became a Muslim about 15 years ago. Idris Tawfiq was head of religious education in different schools in the United Kingdom; he died in February 2016 after a period of illness in the UK.
Adekunle Afolabi: The founder of Apata Adura Cherubim Church in Ekiti State was converted to Islam and turned his church into a mosque in August 2015 after continuously dreaming of people washing their hands and feet. According to former pastor Adekunle Afolabi now known as Alfa Abubakar Afolabi
“At first in the dreams, I noticed my members were sitting on the floor in the church and some of them were covering their heads, I also saw that people were washing their hands and feet before entering the church just like it is done in Islam”.
When the former pastor join Islam, about 150 of his congregation abandoned his church.
Pastor Grace Aji: Katsina based female pastor, Pastor Grace Aji left Christianity to Islam in 2017, and the former pastor changed her name to Hauwa’u.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of 2011-2017 trainees of Hindatu Abdullahi Multipurpose Women Centre in Katsina, she expressed gratitude to Allah for guiding her to the path of Islam.
