Saudi Arabia Resumes Umrah Permit After Completion of Hajj 2023

To allow a greater number of Muslims to perform Umrah in the Kingdom, and to improve the process for them, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has begun issuing electronic visas for Umrah. Umrah services will be enhanced in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030.

It simplifies the arrival process for Muslims worldwide who wish to visit Makkah and Madinah through the Nusuk platform. A variety of housing options, residence services, and transportation services are available, as well as a wealth of informative content and interactive maps in several languages.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced earlier that individuals holding tourist visas from the Gulf Cooperation Council of Arab States and Schengen visa holders could schedule Umrah appointments through Nusk.

In addition, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah simplifies visa procedures for individuals holding various types of visas.

As part of the newly adopted legislation, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah offers various facilities to Umrah performers. By reducing insurance fees for Umrah performers by 63% and ensuring the sustainability of health services, issuing Umrah visas within 24 hours, and extending the visa duration from 30 to 90 days without requiring any health certification.

According to the revised Umrah procedures, women can now perform the pilgrimage without a male guardian (mahram). Furthermore, the new regulations allow Umrah performers to learn about the country’s cultural diversity and enrich their religious and cultural experiences by visiting its unique sites.
